Is it Enough
Is it Enough?

So how much info do you really need in your website to make it great? Well it depends. To me, I judge a lot on content BUT I also judge on originality. Sometimes you can have all the info in the world but there's absolutely NO originality and I HATE that. I tend to get bored easily and when I just read info after info with absolutely no Personal touch to it I can't stand it. I like to read opinions too. What good is a site then when I don't even know what the webmistress/webmaster is thinking. Why they made a site and why they like a certain character.

I see this in A LOT of Sailormoon sites. The information is just recycled over and over again and the more I read the same things the more I get tired of Sailormoon. SM webmistress and webmasters are so focused on the full out information of Sailormooon that they forgot that Sailormoon is basically a comedy. So where the hell is the humor? They try to make it so serious that it becomes boring. Nothing is original anymore. From information to SM games. If I have to see another site that has "Rei's Fire Readings" I think I'm gonna SCREAM! God, people be ORIGINAL! THINK OF SOMETHING! Be different.

Sometimes you don't even need to be that informative. Sometimes if your site has that personal touch to it that I like, to me, it's an excellent site. I once went to this site dedicated to my man, Tasuki, and though the information was not that much it was just so funny and sweet that I TOTALLY LOVED it. She even mentioned dreams she had that has Tasuki in them. Now THAT's pretty original. Weird but ORIGINAL. So many sites are missing this important thing. Some people think their site is the best because their site has information in it but when that info gets recycled over and over again and there's absolutely no life to your site, well then I get bored and I give you a bad grade. Think about it. When making a website, your ONE main job is to keep the visitor interested and make them interested in that anime you are featuring. When you don't do that then your webpage is pointless and it sucks. That's the brutal truth. And that's reality folks.

So what I think is a good site is where you put your own opinions to it (Maybe just like Aurora-Hime). It's hella boring to have a serious website and not make people laugh. I like comedy sites, comedy sites have their own opinions and their rants. Although, I hate how people think Sailor Moon is the best anime ever. Ok people, is Sailor Moon the only anime you've watched?.. Geez when you see a NEW anime, you'll know that anything is better than Sailor Moon, ANYTHING, (not saying it sucks). Also, I previously reviewed a pretty good Sailor Moon site. Although it was very good, it had the same EXACT shit o ther people have in their site. Me, unfortunately, had those kinds of SM shrines and I noticed how sucky it was because it had what others have, so I closed it down (My sister and I made a better one which is creative and had some thing not what others had). Anyways, my point to that is be more creative and don't used the same shit over and over.

If your site is boring, then what's the use of putting it up? People, like me, would just close the window, and move on to another site, thinking "Oh gawd, what a stupid ass site." So for goodness sake please put your own damn creativity and opinions/rants!! That's what people like, TRUST me!!..

WEll I guess that's it! ^_^ see ya! Asuka

When people make shrines, I don't look so much at the stats and stuff but more for the author's personal opinions. Like, why did they choose that particular character? Though background information is necessary, it is NOT everything. I want to know why *they* like the character and the shrine should at least convince me that that character *does* have good qualitites. Making shrines is kinda like selling things ^^;; You can put in all the stats in the world but if you lack enthusiasm, nobody's going to be very interested.

Hmmmm... I guess I look for originality and a beautiful layout cause that is what really draws me in. If it doesn't have that good a layout I don't really like to look at it. I also like it when there is a lot of stuff to do or go through and I don't mean the stuff that on everyone else sites it has to be original. I love originality. And it has to be something that appeals to me. I really don't like sites that have perversity everywhere. I mean if you have a small section and it is marked then it okay but otherwise no. Also I never look at stats. I don't care if 1 person or 1000 people have been to your site. I have to like it. You should also have your opinions in there cause I love opinions because I am an opionated person and I like people who think for themselves. So basically do what comes naturally to you and don't tale what every one says seriously. You have to like it and thats what matters.

For me, what makes a good site is an attractive layout, content, and originality. The layout is usually what draws me in, and once the layout has captivated my eyes, then the content takes over. If you have information, on let's say Sailor Moon, make sure that it is correct. Don't mix up the DIC version with the original Japanese version, or the anime with the manga.

Originality is key to success. If you have the same exact stuff as another site, I'm going to want to leave. Be different. And as my USA camp's motto for this year goes, "Go for it! Go, go for it!!!" ^ _ ~
