A small little page about Cardcaptor Sakura

What can I say about Cardcaptor Sakura? It's a very cute anime, ne? Although in my opinion, the manga is much better. Maybe because there's so much more heart and cuteness... I absolutely LOVE the ending in the manga because we all know that it's Happily Ever After for you know who ^_^...

First off though, Cardcaptor Sakura began because of those four wonderful ladies from CLAMP. Whose other creations are Clover, X, and Magic Knight Rayearth. They have written many others that I've been reading lately like "Chobits" a totally weird story if I do say so 0_o...

Ok, Ok, I'm getting off topic... Let's go back to lovely Sakura. Wow, even though this little story is a lot different from CLAMP's other works, it still has that old CLAMP charm, like the relationships between Kaho and Eriol, Yue and Clow, Touya and Yukito, Rika and Terada-sensei, and of course Tomoyo and Sakura... If you are familiar with this story, you'll realize that if you think about it enough, Chiharu and Takashi's relationship is probably the most normal of everyones. Although, I don't think a "relationship" is exactly a word you would describe between 5th graders.

I think Takashi and Chiharu are very kawaii. Takashi especially. When he tells those lies it cracks me up. I especially love the one about how the word "bazaar" was created because of Niagra Falls... And that scene with Chiharu giving him that bear... How cute. *Hand on heart*. Of course, there are other couples here that could not be ignored right?

For one, I like Touya's relationship with Yukito. What a kawaii couple they make too ne? Except that Yukito isn't exactly human but a false form of Yue, who was created by the great Clow Reed. Who in turn had feelings for Yue. Okokok... I know I'm not exactly explaining much about the story... But how can I? I'm an opinionated person and it's so hard to explain an anime with so many great characters right? It makes me want to do a whole 5 page essay about it. This anime to me, is kinda like Evangelion. It's a little hard for me to explain because there so many aspects of it and so many characters that have issues and stories.

Eriol for example, is creepy, in my honest opinion. His little cute but cynical smile ::Shivers::. Ruby Moon... well, what's up with him? her? him? her? I like her/his voice though. He's cute and he has a thing for Touya and I don't know. He's just so happy, happy all the time ^_^. And Spinel with the *sweets* thing and Kero with his accent. Oh so many characters I love. Tomoyo with her somewhat evil laugh and those starry eyes she gets because of her Sakura-chan, Meiling's voice, her cuteness, and her bluntness. I love her story she told Sakura about her and Syaoran when they were little. About that little bird that she loved so much but it flew away and she started to cry. And because Syaoran saw her that way, he told her that he would find it and he didn't return for what seemed like forever even when it began to rain. And forever she waited for him and when he finally came back, he brought her bird back and Meiling started to cry because she was so happy. So can you blame her for loving someone that would do such a thing? I would fall in love with him in a second^_^

I'm usually the type of person that don't really like the main couple of a story. For example, I hate Tamahome and Miaka. I hate Miki and Yuu. I hate Touya and Aya. I hate blah blah blah... You name it, I hate them. Mainly because the female is always some weak, ditzy little girl who has no life but to always be saved by the whipped man that is in love with her. Yuck! But sometimes, it's different. For example, I love Doumyouji and Makino of Hana Yori Dango and of course, I love Syaoran and Sakura, especially Syaoran ^_^. He was cruel to his one and only at first. Forcing her to give the Clow cards to him. He was her rival. He insulted her because of her fighting and thought only of himself. He was even attracted to Yukito who was also the crush of Sakura... But then, this boy, who came all the way from Hong Kong and who lived alone in an apartment (mainly speaking here about the manga) to survive for himself, fell in love with the one person that he least expected. And it's so fun to see Syaoran fall madly in love with Sakura. He would turn red whenever he's near her and when he's confronted he would run away just like what he used to do when he was still crushing on Yukito ^_^. It was so cute when he was watching Sakura from behind a bench (with him blushing of course) and Eriol caught him. And Syaoran got all flustered and ran away. And then when he and Sakura got stuck in that elevator and she suddenly fell in some kind of black hole (all because of Eriol) he thought he had lost her forever and he called her name for the first time, all troubled... "Sakura!!!" But she used the Float Card to return to the elevator and Syaoran was so relieved that he hugged her tightly which surprised her. Ahhh Syaoran, what a boy... I love him. He hides his heart and his sweetness so well sometimes underneath that scowl and never smiling face. But when he does smile, even if it's just a little one, it's so genuine. Just like our Sakura. I love how he turns red all the time especially when Sakura hugs him. How he gets mad because Eriol is putting his "charms" on his Sakura... His little eye sparks with Touya... I even like his nickname Touya and Kero give him. "That Brat" or rather, "Gaki"

Cardcaptor Sakura isn't your ordinary magical girl story. Yes, she has a wand, she has magical powers... but there are no transformation scenes, there are really no villians, all those costumes are made by Tomoyo and sometimes Sakura feels so embarrassed to even wear them especially when she's being taped in action. Odd ne? Ahh, but I love Sakura. That's all I have to say. Although, it still can't beat Evangelion, Hana Yori Dango, and Boys Be... as my favorite ^_^

There is so much more. As I've been repeating it I think. But in the end, it's all mush... Syaoran saying he loves Sakura, Sakura saying it's him that she loves the most... Ahhh what more can you want? The most perfect couple. So alike in so many ways. So much alike in fact that these two are only ones that actually believe Yamazaki's tall tales...

Yamazaki: Right, that reminds me... I read somewhere that Cherry Blossoms first became known in Mars when Mars first had water. It used to be the Earth you know until Kami-sama...
